Bakery planned for Market Street

LA CROSSE, Wis. (WXOW) – A new bakery shop is set to open on Market Street in the coming months where an old residential building once sat.

The property was approved for rezoning on July 10, allowing Opus Bakehouse to establish a second location. The bakery currently operates a shop in Onalaska.

"I think this will be fantastic for the neighborhood," said Joe Endrizzi, an owner of the property and co-owner of Twinkle and Twine Design and Art Pop. "I think the city of La Crosse and La Crosse County have realized having diversity of businesses and residential in an area makes for a very vital neighborhood."
