re you in need of transportation and unsure what public options are available to you? McIntosh Memorial Library of Viroqua, in partnership with Vernon County Over 50, are teaming up for a program about local transportation options. A panel of transportation experts will speak inside the library lobby, Wednesday, Feb. 11 at 2:15 p.m.The panel will include Amanda Running representing Viroqua-based company Running Incorporated. Running will be sharing information about the Viroqua and Westby Shared Ride Taxi Service plus the SMRT bus. The SMRT Bus (Scenic Mississippi Regional Transit) is a commuter bus service in southwest Wisconsin (Crawford, Vernon, Monroe and La Crosse counties) providing affordable, accessible rides for workers, seniors and the public, with a focus on connecting to jobs and services. The bus serves numerous communities including Viroqua. Also on the panel will be Amy Emerson representing the Vernon County Aging and Disability Resource Center. Emerson will talk about their bus as well as other transportation options that are provided through the agency. The Vernon County ADRC is the central point for Vernon County residents (and their families) to get unbiased information, assistance, and referrals for those aging or living with a disability.... | ||
