![]() LA CROSSE, Wis., (WLAX, WEUX) β A project that looks to bring together people of all ages in a shared environment is now welcoming adults. Some adult programs are beginning to open up at the Hillview Life Center. The center held a ribbon cutting ceremony earlier this month to mark the beginning of programs. It will work as an intergenerational center. Bringing together older
adults with mild dementia and young children in a shared space. βIt helps individuals feel connected to their community. It has better health outcomes for the children, as well as the adults. That community connection really makes a difference in outcomes for individuals who are starting to have early onset dementia and cognitive decline.β The YMCA, UW- La Crosse, and the La Crosse County ADRC are providing the programming. | ||
