Regent Street’s Hong Kong Cafe, Choles Floral could be demolished for apartments

Peerless Development is proposing the six-story apartment building shown in this rendering on Regent Street between South Mills and South Charter streets. The redevelopment would replace Hong Kong Cafe and Choles Floral with 111 apartments and 1,200 square feet of commercial space.

Hong Kong Cafe and Choles Floral could give way to more than 100 apartments under a proposal from an Illinois developer that would transform the 1100 block of Regent Street.
